Cameroon – Family Planning: 10 male condoms now for 50 CFA F

The Minister of Public Health recalled it on 13 July in his ministerial department in front of the press in the framework of the promotion of family planning in Cameroon.

This meeting, initiated by the MINSANTE, took place in an international context marked by a high-level summit on family planning held in London, a summit in which Cameroon takes part.

As an example, the price of 10 male condoms is 50 FCFA, oral contraceptives and pills the next day at 125 FCFA, injectables such as Depo Provera are 255 FCFA, the intrauterine device 1000 CFA francs and Contraceptive implant at 2140 FCFA,” said André Mama Fouda.

Contraceptive products are available at publicly funded health facilities from the integrated health center to the first-tier health facilities. In addition, pharmacies also offer them, “added the minister.
