Under the program to improve the competitiveness of agro-pastoral family farms (Acefa), 17 farmers’ organizations in the Southern Cameroon region have benefited from a financing package of 128 million FCFA, We learned officially.

According to the rules governing the operation of this government program, these financial support amounts are between 500,000 and 6 million CFA francs for beneficiary producer groups and between CFAF 5 million and CFAF 30 million for professional organizations.

Funded by the C2D funds, the Acefa program, co-piloted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, aims to “increase the incomes of family farmers by improving the competitiveness of their farms“.

The second phase of this program, which is currently being implemented in the country, plans to finance a total of 5,200 projects, with a total budget of CFAF 23 billion.
