The word “Bastos” is commonly used by the military to talk about the headquarters of the Rapid Intervention Battalion (Bir) located in the neighborhood of the same name. It must therefore be known that Colonel Dourai until now was the Second Commandant of Operation Alpha. He replaces today the name Joseph Nouma promoted General de brigade and also appointed to the head of the 11th Motorized infantry Brigade in Ebolowa in the Southern Region.
To come back to Colonel Dourai, he is 50 year old. On 28 August 1989 he joined the army. He was trained at the Royal Military Academy of Meknes in Morocco. The newspaper says that “he is one of the pioneers of the Bir“. It should be added that Colonel Dourai was part of the first contingent of officers who created the light intervention battalion in 1999. The battalion will be transformed into a Rapid Intervention Battalion in 2008.
