After confirming his presence on the set of the program “l’Arène“, the guest Adolphe Claude Alexandre Moundi A.K.A Petit-Pays, said at the last minute that he had an appointment with a member of the government in Yaoundé to be Subscribers to Canal 2 International.

Yesterday Sunday 02 July 2017, viewers of Canal 2 International had an unpleasant surprise around 8.30 pm, time of “l’Arène“, one of the most watched Sunday shows in Cameroon. The popular artist, Adolphe Claude Alexandre Moundi aka Petit-Pays, announced as a guest, debouched at the last minute.

To justify his absence, “his manager told us that he is invited to dinner with the minister Michel Ange Angouing” explained Rodrigue Tongué, host of the said show.

According to our sources outside the private channel Canal 2 International, interviewers Paul Dazy Biya and Lionel Mayi and journalist Souley Onohiolo of the private daily newspaper Le Messager chose for a quarter of an hour of debate with the guest, were preparing already at the makeup room before their passage on television when they learned the cancellation of the show with Petit-Pays.

Breaking a commitment with producers of a high-audience program such as “l’Arène” because we are going to visit a member of the government, the excuse seems for some, very bitter to be swallowed.

To tell you the truth, Petit-Pays had a hard time digesting the failure of the concert he had the day before at the Ahmadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaoundé. It was a terrible shock to him. He used to fill the stadia but on Saturday, he played in front of less than 2000 people in a stadium of about 50 thousand places. He did not have the morale to go to that show. Together with him, we found the pretext of a dinner with Minister Angouing, “confided to Cameroon-info.net, a close collaborator of the one who also responds to the nickname” Rabba Rabbi “.

As can be seen in the video below, the Petit-Pays concert, organized to celebrate the three decades of his musical career, was a big failure.
