Waste and other plastic packaging produced by households and businesses in the city of Yaoundé, the Cameroonian capital, will now be collected and recycled into reusable products by Name Recycling.

The company that has just opened its doors in the suburb of Ahala, has already succeeded in eliminating plastic waste in Limbe, a city in the Southwest region where Name Recycling launched its first-ever recycling unit, it was not long ago.

Plastics waste is a real environmental problem in Cameroon because of the lack of recycling facilities that can handle the approximately 600,000 tonnes of waste generated in this category annually by businesses and households.
