Bad news for Samuel Eto’o, one of the greatest African strikers of all time.
The superstar has just lost two land titles in Cameroon, informs the bulletin of land notices of the Mfoundi division, published this June.
The court of first instance of Yaoundé, withdrew two land titles, in this case land titles no. 1383 and 25644.
The first one with an area of 1778m ² is located in Yaoundé in Mont-Fébé while the second one of an area of 2000m ² is located in the commercial center of the same city.
In Cameroon, the Minister of Land Tenure proceeds to the withdrawal of the land title when he finds either fraud attributable to the administration, committed during the process of obtaining the land title, or fraud of the land beneficiary.
In either case, the holder of the land title may appeal to the administrative jurisdiction.
But since the announcement of the withdrawal of his two land titles earlier this month, Samuel Eto’o, for the time being, has not yet begun a procedure to challenge the decision of Catherine Koung A Bessikè, Minister of Land Tenure.
