One of the tasks of the National Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism is to monitor the implementation of the constitutional provisions making English and French two official languages of equal value; To carry out any study or investigation and to propose any measure likely to strengthen the bilingual and multicultural character of Cameroon.
But also, draft and submit to the President of the Republic draft texts on bilingualism, multiculturalism and living together; To receive any request denouncing discrimination based on the violation of constitutional provisions relating to bilingualism and multiculturalism and to report to the President of the Republic.
