On June 3 last year, some thugs broke into the family home to look for  large sums of money.

In its edition of June 12, 2017 the daily newspaper Le Jour reports the aggression of the mother of the indomitable Lion Adolphe Teikeu. It was on June 3, 2017. Around 9 pm thieves arrived at the home located in Bafoussam in the Western Region pretending to be media men. The latter said they had come for interviews with the mother and sisters of the indomitable lion. Only when they took place, they then showed their true face. “Teikeu was  in the city two days before and the bandits said he had to leave a lot of money to his mother,” said a resident of the Banengo quarter, a place considered dangerous.

With their machetes, the thugs succeeded in luring the family of the central defender of Sochaux. Caught in panic, Adolphe Teikeu’s mother, to whom they asked for money, ended by yielding the important booty. “Hundreds of thousands,” says a newspaper source. Dissatisfied the bandits decided to go and also pay a visit to Valeri Kameni the elder brother of Adolphe Teikeu. The latter owns a bar. However the victim did not let himself be intimidated. He managed to alert the neighborhood that came to his rescue. It was then that the criminals ran away. The daily says that the elder brother of the indomitable lion did not wish to “spread news on this scrupulous act lest it harm the concentration of Adolphe Teikeu who will take part in the Confederations Cup with the indomitable Lions.
