DRC – Jazzkif 201: Manu Dibango will be present

Written by Deckson N.

From 16 to 18 June, the city of Kinshasa will host the 11th edition of the international jazz festival.

Like the legendary Cameroonian saxophonist Manu Dibango, the Cape Verdean diva Ray Lema, and other icons of African music will be present.

According to the organizers, this must-see event will offer this year a more intimate, more sophisticated version and will take place at the Halle de la Gombe, whose scenography has been completely revised for a surprise both visual and musical.

“Since 2007, the founders of the Jazzkif continue their musical dream without respite, that of an open festival and demand, jazz and African, Kinois and universal. The Jazzkif is indeed one of the few Congolese festivals totaling 11 years without interruption. For the first time, the agency TEK accompanies the festival and ensures the delegated production of this exceptional cultural rendezvous.
