Cameroon – National Assembly: Cameroons House Speaker Warn Students Against Drugs Consumption in School

The Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Cavaye Yeguie Djibriel has lamented on the rising rate of drug consumption in the school milieu adding that it will be of negative impact on the educational and health life of Cameroons younger Generation.

He made the statements in Yaoundé Thursday June 8, 2017 during the opening of the plenary session. The House speaker condemned boycott of 20th May by some opposition political parties saying that Cameroon is united and indivisible.

He praised efforts made by Government so far to solve the Anglophone crisis especially what he described as indefatigable efforts by education authorities to avoid a blank academic year.

A minute of silence was observed in honor of late Mgr Jean–Marie Benoit Bala, Bishop of Bafia who died under unclear circumstances.

At the upper House of Assembly, Senate President Marcel Niat Njifendji urged all to promote peace and unity adding that Cameroon is one and indivisible.
