Cameroon – Entrepreneur: Kiro’o Games launches Kiro’o Rebuntu, a platform seeking funding for African entrepreneurs

Since June 5, 2017, after a long period of preparation, Kiro’o Games, the first video game creation studio in Cameroon, unveils the secrets of its success to the African startups community, via a digital mentoring program Called Kiro’o Rebuntu.

The Rebuntu is the fusion between Reboot and Ubuntu. Through this platform, Kiro’o Games offers the opportunity to discover how to raise funds as they did from 2013 to 2015. All their secrets of recruitment and team management and project but also the way to get the Lessons of 13 years of experience by avoiding their mistakes. All this with the aim of creating a synergy of convergence of interest.

Starting from scratch, Kiro’o Studio realized the first African-Fantasy RPG on PC between 2013 and 2016: Aurion l’Héritage des Kori-Odan. The young team composed of 95% Cameroonians trained in the public universities of Cameroon breaks the barriers of financing. For Kiro’o Games, Dominique Yakan, Co-Founder and Lead Game Designer at Kiro’o Games, Kiro’o Rebuntu represents “a form of sharing duty, but also a way to lead the whole of Africa into a new era of business that will benefit us to all. And if the wave can leave Cameroon it will only make us more proud.

The objective is to train 10,000 entrepreneurs in French-speaking Africa. According to Dominique, a startup which  participates in such a project “it implies that it invests 10,000 FCFA on itself (mobile payment) to participate in a digital mentoring on behalf of Kiro’o Games. It will receive a document that condenses our 13 years of experience as well as our method of fundraising, plus it will enter a closed exchange group of entrepreneurs allied to the Rebuntu vision. It will also involve the entrepreneur to have an honest state of mind and favorable to the convergence of interest.
