The city of Bamenda has just recorded the loss of one of her sons. This time the anglophone crisis has nothing to do with it. This is the electrocution of a teenager Mile 7 Alamatu by an electric cable from ENEO.
According to witnesses the victim’s family refuses to pick up the body believing that it is up to the ENEO company to do so. ENEO is accused of untimely cuts in current with most of the cables lying on the ground causing accidents which in normal circumstances can be avoided.
ENEO is a production company for the distribution of electrical energy in Cameroon. It is often solicited by the populations when its installations are failing.
