Last week, during the inauguration ceremony of the 3rd crane in Douala, Cyrus Ngo’o (photo), the general manager of the Douala Port Authority (DPA), the public enterprise in charge of management of this port infrastructure, announced that a coastal shipping service will be set up between the port of Douala and that of Kribi in the southern region.

In short, the Kribi deep-water port (which was expected to be operational for at least the past 2 years), being more suitable for the reception of large vessels, which is not limited to Douala, will transfer directly by sea, certain goods to the port of Douala.
