The Crtv, for having read the communiqué of the vice-president of the CPP, is accused of complicity of maneuver of rough division.

As expected, the leadership of the Cameroon People’s Party reacted to a press release issued at 1 pm, the news of the Crtv-radio, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, by the CPP vice- president against the boycott order of this opposition political party about the national day of 20 May 2017.

Reaction of Franck Essi, Secretary General of the CPP.

The CPP reaffirms its non-participation in the parade organized by the Government of Mr. Paul Biya.

Our communiqué of May 11, 2017 is clear: NO CELEBRATION OF NATIONAL UNITY IN EXCLUSION, VIOLATION OF FUNDAMENTAL RIGHTS AND REPRESSION!

As stipulated in the press release of May 11, 2017, this non-participation is effective throughout the national territory.

Any other information, from any source other than the official channels of the party, is void and does not bind the CPP.

We invite the CRTV, paid by our taxes, which obviously behaves as a propaganda organ of the CPDM, to get closer to the official sources of the CPP in order to have the official positions, adopted following a deliberative process in accordance with the letter and the Spirit of our statutes.

These statutes of the CPP are actually available and inform as explicitly as possible about the persons who have quality to speak on behalf of the party.

This maneuver of gross division does not deceive anyone. It ends up discrediting a media which, supposedly informing the Cameroonians, behaves unfortunately as the greatest source of disinformation of the citizens.es

For the Cameroon People’s Party

Franck Essi

General secretary
