Almond Ousmane Mey, the Minister of Finance issued yesterday Saturday May 13, 2017, an order appointing a new accounting officer to manage the funds that the government made available to the Cameroonian football federation.

Issa Kuecho is no longer the accounting officer with the Cameroonian Football Federation. He is dismissed less than two years after his appointment by the Minister of Finance.

An order signed by Alamine Ousmane Mey, read at the national news on Saturday, May 13, 2017, appoints Mr Abolo, accounting officer for the Cameroon Football Federation in replacement of Mr Issa Kuecho “relieved of his duties” by decision of the Minister of Finance. The new recruit is an inspector of the financial regiments, previously in service at the inspection of the treasury services.

So, after André Nguidjol, the former general coordinator of the national football teams sacked on Tuesday, May 09, 2017, Issa Kuecho is the second head that falls because of the scandal occurred at the hotel of the indomitable Lions last March in Brussels. The players of the Cameroon national pennant selection, freshly crowned African champion and their framers, had been turned back at the entrance of their hotel restaurant for an unpaid invoice.

Elements gathered during the hearings during the investigation opened by the authorities in Yaoundé about this scandal, charge Issa Kuecho as being the main responsible for the humiliation suffered in Belgium by the new African football champions .
