Finances: The Beac shows a profitable result of 164 billion FCFA in 2016 against 160 billion CFA francs in 2015

On May 3rd, the Bank of Central African States (BEAC) published the general report of the auditors Kpmg Afrique centrale and Mazars Cameroun on behalf of the financial year 2016. The Central Bank shows a net profit of CFAF 164,177 billion.

In 2015, the profit of the Beac was 160.7 billion FCFA. The total balance sheet during the same year is CFAF 7073 billion compared to CFAF 9389,691 billion in 2015.

After the report by Kpmg and Mazars, the accounts of the Beac must be approved by the board of directors and then ratified by the ministerial committee of the Central African Monetary Union (Umac). “We certify that the accounts of Beac as of December 31, 2016, are consistent with the accounting principles and methods (…) and give a true and fair view of the assets and liabilities of the operations of the past financial year” the auditors said.
