Cameroon – Broadcasting rights: Isidore Modjo announces a new sit-in in front of the Ministry of Communication

The Minister of Communication, Issa Tchiroma Bakary, has not yet instructed the General Manager of the CRTV, Charles Ndongo, to pay him his 50 million FCFA as prescribed by Prime Minister Philemon Yang.

However, in a letter to the Minister of Communication through his Secretary-General on 29 March 2017, Philemon Yang requested payment “as soon as possible” of the rights to broadcast the works of Isidore Modjo. Anything that has not yet been done two months after the instruction of the Head of Government.

My works have been broadcast over the last 20 years on the CRTV, broadcast on 10 regional stations and commercial FM stations. Unfortunately, I do not see my rights. This injustice is incompatible with the ideals advocated by His Excellency Paul Biya, President of the Republic of Cameroon, “said Isidore Modjo in August 2016, explaining that the jingle for launching spoken news, CRTV m’accompagne, Cameroon calling Or Morning safari would be his compositions.
