It was on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the “Kundé 2017” award ceremony at the Ouaga 2000 banquet hall in Ouagadougou, the capital of the country.
Three artists were in the category “Kundé of best artist of Central Africa” namely: Hiro of Congo and Cameroonians Mr Leo and Reniss. In the end, it is Cameroon which prevailed through one of its two representatives, Reniss.
This is the second distinction that the author of the hit title “La Sauce” receives in two months. On March 4th, at Canal 2’or 2017, she was awarded the Women’s Urban Music Artist Award.
Kien Rennise Nde, born 24 April 1988 in Mankon and known by her stage name Reniss, is a Cameroonian singer-songwriter. Reniss sings in French, in English, Pidgin, and Ngeumba. She became known in the field of African music after publishing the music of the video “La Sauce” on May 6, 2016.
The song is produced by producer rapper Jovi Le Monstre. He is also the boss of New Bell Music, label on which is signed Reniss.
