Hon. Martin Oyono, CPDM Member of Parliament, MP, for the Ocean Division in the South Region has revealed that he is ready to stand against even party policy if the Parliament attempts to lift the Immunity of escapee MP for Jakiri, Hon. Wirba Joseph.

He made the statement recently at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé as he received a prize as Best MP of the year in the 2016 Guardian Post Achievement Award.

The MP for Ocean Division who has been very vocal on issues feared by his colleagues especially on the Anglophone problems said, Hon. Joseph Wirba had the rights a Member of Parliament to defend his electorates by mounting pressure on the Government but has been seen as an outcast.

Hon Oyono as part of his recommendations to solve the Anglophone problem said national integration is the panacea to the ongoing crisis.

It should not be the attitude of withdrawal, closure, rejection, stigmatization, scorn, assimilation or willful unconscious absorption of the other which no longer have a place in a society where inter-community marriages are clearly on the rise.
