The Interprofessional Cocoa and Coffee Council (CICC) has organized a mid-term evaluation meeting of the 2016-2017 cocoa season in the Nyong-Ekellé division of Central Cameroon.

In addition to inquiring about the progress of the campaign, this meeting with the producers was also aimed at “sensitizing members and other stakeholders on the new orientations of the cooperative” created in 2014, “mobilizing new members in this organization , Discipline all members, and collect available statistics “.

The Nyong-Ekelle cocoa producer cooperative was one of the most successful cooperative movements in the Cameroonian cocoa sector in recent years.

Indeed, with only 35 million CFA francs saved for the purchase of agricultural inputs during the 2014-2015 season, this cooperative, which had then seduced several partners, was able to purchase inputs for more than 140 million francs Of Cfa francs during the following campaign, and to acquire several equipment for the transport of cocoa.
