Cameroon – Public Management:: Government launches CFAF 102 billion triennial program for youth

Announced by the Cameroonian head of state, Paul Biya (photo), in his speech to young Cameroonians on 10 February 2016, the day before the Youth Day in the country, the three-year program dedicated to Cameroonian youth will be officially launched On January 11, 2017, sources said.

With a total budget of approximately CFAF 102 billion, the main objectives of this program are to improve the civic education of Cameroonian youth and, above all, to promote their socio-economic integration.

As a result, over a 3-year period, approximately 9 million young people will be trained in citizenship and national integration, with the help of the national civic service. Similarly, socio-economic projects will have to be put in place for young people, in sectors with high growth potential, we learn.
