6 dead and 26 wounded, is the record of a traffic accident occurred this weekend in Djende 2, Doumé subdivision, in the Haut-Nyong division, Eastern Region.
A bus from a travel agency with 30 passengers on board, linking Ngaoundere (Adamaoua) to Yaounde in the Center, violently hit a truck carrying construction equipment and miscellaneous goods. The accident took place at Dudende 2.
According to testimony given to the police by the wounded, the driver of the bus was in a state of fatigue. He would have had only 15 minutes to rest before taking the road.
Six people were killed and 26 wounded who were treated at the Abong-Mbang hospital, before resuming the trip. Among the survivors, 2 children of 9 and 3 years of age whose mothers died in the accident. They were placed in an orphanage in the locality.
