Cameroon – AFCON 2016: The indomitable Lionesses won South African (1-0) and are qualified for semi finals

The awaited goal came in the 83rd minute thanks to Géneviève Ngo Mbeleck. Just in midfield, the young midfielder picked up a center from Nchout Ajara Njoya, who was badly pushed by the South African defense.

The coaching proved thus paying for the coach Enow Ngachu who had decided to remove a few minutes before Michelle Ngono Mani in lack of success. A goal that is enough to the happiness of the Cameroonians, qualified for the semi finals. A lucky issue for the Lionesses in an early game. The Cameroonians failed to find the flaw in the South African defense. Apart from a few unsuccessful incursions by Aboudi Onguené and Gaëlle Enganamouit, the public had nothing to put in the teeth.

Cameroon was even scared at the 30th minute. On a missed exit of Annette Ngo Ndom, Andisiwe Mgcoyi placed her head. Fortunately for the Cameroonians, the leather passed over the bar. Note however the good performance of the midfielders (Feudjio, Ngock Yango, Nchout).
