Cameroon – Clinton Njie: Footballer back to the den, but still uncertain for the game!

Written by Deckson N.

The International footballer was summoned, but his active participation in the game remains uncertain.

Clinton Njie is back in the Cameroonian selection after being absent last month for injury. The coach of the Indomitable Lions, Hugo Broos, gave a statement on Wednesday about his list of 23 players ahead of the qualifying match of the World Cup against Zambia on 12 November in Limbe.

Clinton Njie could not play with the Indomitable Lions last Oct. 9 against Algeria in the first match of the final round of qualifying for the World Cup Russia 2018. Convened by Hugo Broos, he was finally replaced at the last minute by Ndip Tambe. The Cameroon team had a draw (1-1) against Algeria.

In this list of 23, you should also note the return of Adolphe Teikeu, the Sochaux defender, but the absence of midfielder Eyong Enoh, who plays with Standard Liege. Hugo Broos has told the BBC that if his team wins the match against Zambia in the wake of their draw against Algeria, it would’ve ┬ácompleted a “successful start“.
