Cameroon – Transport: Camair-Co, the Cameroonian public air transport will relaunch its international flights only in the first semester of 2017

Over the next eight months Camair-Co, Cameroon’s state airline beset by financial difficulties, will limit its activities to serving domestic routes.

Indeed, in an interview with the government daily, the Minister of Transport, Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo’o, reveals that air carrier will relaunch its international flights only on the first half of 2017.

The first lines that will then be served as part of the relaunch of the international flights will be Johannesburg, South Africa, and Dakar, the Senegalese capital, said the member of the Cameroon government.

Remember, with only 11% share of the air transport market in Cameroon, far behind Air France and Brussels Airlines, Camair-Co should already owe this performance only to its exclusivity on domestic flights.
