The agribusiness company Sud Cameroun Hévéa aims to mount a processing plant by the year 2019, in order to locally transform rubber, we learned on October 20, 2016. It was during an agreement signing ceremony with the Ministry of Agriculture.
Through this partnership, we learn, the State of Cameroon is committed to bringing to this agro-industrial company the various technical support. These include the Framework for rubber producers and their supply plants.
Sud Cameroun Hévéa is a company controlled by the Singaporean group Sinochem International, through GMG International. The company is engaged in recent years in an expansion process of its plantations through land concessions obtained in the region of Southern Cameroon, especially in localities of Meyomessala, Meyomessi and Djoum.
To believe our sources, at least half of the 45 000 hectares of land of which Sud Cameroun Hévéa has in these communities is affected by this expansion project initially. According to forecasts, all of the 45 000 hectares will be planted in 2027.
