The striker of the indomitable Lions will indicated that the team is heading to Algeria with the aim of achieving a good result and with the winning spirit.

After the match with Olympique Marseille (1-1), the Indomitable Lions have their mind now turned to Sunday’s meeting next with the Fennecs of Algeria. This is part of the first day of qualifying for the 2018 World Cup in Russia. This is a decisive game, especially since the winner will have a good option for the future, provided that only the first of the group will be qualified for the Russian appointments.

For Benjamin Moukandjo, it’ll be a tough game. But the Lions will go in Algeria with the aim of achieving a good result and with the winning spirit. “We have tremendous respect for this team of Algeria which is also respected in Africa, but respect does not mean fear of the opponent. So here, we respect this team of Algeria, but we do not fear! “Said the Lorient player during an interview with the Algerian Site  Le Buteur.

About the often overheated atmosphere of the stadium of Blida where the match will be played, Moukandjo says it won’t scare the Lions: “You know, when we are professionals and we are used to playing in full stadiums it is not a worry at that level. I think it will not hamper us, we are the Lions, we like stadiums like Blida. It is true that the public will be behind the team, but it will encourage us to implement what the coach asked us to do. Anyway, I hope there will be a great match.

As for the Algerian attack that shook all nations on the continent “it frightens us because we too are solid behind. After, of course, this attack is made up of players of great qualities that evolve in the best World Championship and in large clubs. Now we too have values, Cameroon, is a team, a group of individualities. It will be 23 Lions to come to Algeria to try to win this game.

For Moukandjo, another asset as the Lions face the team of Algeria is coach Hugo Broos. “It is part of the benefits we have before this match. We have a coach who knows a lot of things about this team of Algeria. ” On the evening of 9 October, we will know which team has taken a clear lead in this Group B  including Zambia and Nigeria.
