Cameroon – Abdouraman Hamadou: FIFA refused to suspend Cameroon’s national team as requested by Abdouraman

Written by Deckson N.

Abdouraman Hamadou Baba sent a letter to FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association) on Monday, September 12, 2016 to ask the governing body of world football to suspend the participation of the national team of Cameroon in the last round of the playoffs for Russia world Cup 2018 until the Court of Arbitration for Sport slice definitively the dispute concerning the situation in FECAFOOT.

Tombi A Roko Sidiki continues to preside over the Cameroonian Football Federation (FECAFOOT) notwithstanding that the process that led to his election on September 28, 2015 was canceled by the judges of the Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration of the national Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon.

Based on this verdict and to compel the team of Tombi A Roko to leave the head of the Federation, the opposition leader to the current leadership of the institution had therefore seized the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne in Swiss. The verdict is still awaited. But FIFA, in response, has not given a favorable response to the request of Abdouraman.

Below is a copy of the correspondence that FIFA, through the pen of its Secretary General, Fatma Samoura, addressed to Abdouraman on Tuesday, September 20, 2016.
