Cameroon – Paul Biya: President to leave Yaounde to New York to attend the 71st Summit of the United Nations General Assembly

The Head of State is expected to speak after the opening of the “general debate” at the prestigious United Nations rostrum between 20 and 30 September 2016.

Paul Biya will leave Yaounde this afternoon for the United States, where he must take part in the sitting of the 71st Summit of the General Assembly of the United Nations (UN). The inhabitants of the capital Yaounde perceive this morning the elements of the presidential guard stationed along the axis that runs from the Unity Palace to the Yaounde-Nsimalen International Airport.

Besides, in view of the participation of Paul Biya at the 71st Summit of the UN General Assembly, scheduled in New York in the United States, the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic of Cameroon, in its communication plan, has already created the hashtag #PaulBiya@UNGA71. It will be used in tweets at the same time with that of the official hashtag of the UN #UNGA71, we learned.

It should be noted that the work of the General Assembly of the UN will take stock of the first year of implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2016 calendar. In the same vein, the work will experience between other entry into force of the Paris Agreement on the climate.
