The page of the Gabon 2017 AFCON definitively turned, one of the last lap of qualifiers for the World Cup 2018 in Russia opens in early October on the African continent.

On this occasion, the Indomitable Lions, the national football team of Cameroon will be traveling to the stadium of Blida in Algeria to play against the Fennecs on Sunday, October 9, 2016. After that meeting, the selection of Cameroon will also play successively against Nigeria and Zambia. The deployment of the Indomitable Lions in this competition will be under the coordination of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) currently chaired by Tombi A Roko Sidiki. He and his peers of the Executive Committee continue to preside over the governing body of the Cameroonian sport king, notwithstanding the fact that the process that led to their election at the head of FECAFOOT on September 28, 2015, was canceled by the judges of the Chamber of conciliation and arbitration of the National Olympic and Sports Committee of Cameroon.

Based on this verdict, and in order to force the team of Tombi A Roko to leave the head of the Federation, the leader of the opposition to the current leadership of FECAFOOT, Abdouraman Hamadou Babba, had seized the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, Switzerland. Pending the CAS verdict which shall be final, Abdouraman believes that this time the FECAFOT has no legal representative. He then proposed to FIFA to suspend the next matches of the national team of Cameroon until the Court of Arbitration for Sport finally slice the dispute concerning the situation in FECAFOOT.

Below is a copy of the Abdouraman’s correspondence addressed to FIFA on 12 September 2016.
