The contest for the Kribi Port (Port Autonome de Kribi – PAK) logo design is open to any citizen of Cameroon, as well as legal persons of Cameroonian law.
The logo will have to reflect the activity of the Port and the values of the Cameroonian nation, the statement said. Four colors at most are permitted, including blue and white which are mandatory. The acronym “PAK” and the names “Port Autonome de Krib” must be included.
“The deadline was set on September 15 and all works submitted in this contest remain the property of PAK. The winning logo will appear on all of the PAK communication media and its designer will win a prize of 500,000 FCFA ” as written in the l’Économie Daily of Friday, September 9, 2016.
Subject to rejection, applicants must send their creation only by e-mail to email@example.com not later than September 15, 2016, in PDF format. The logo of the project must be accompanied by an introductory note describing the work and written in French or English. This note should also include additional information for identification and contact of the competing designer. The statement said that all the works received in this contest remain the property of PAK and the winning logo will appear on all of PAK communication media.
Following the transformation of the Deep water Port of Kribi to Kribi Autonomous Port by Presidential Decree N° 2016/267 of 29 June 2016, the PAK is a publicly owned company, the State is the sole shareholder. Patrice Melom, coordinator of the operational unit of the steering committee and monitoring the implementation of the industrial port complex of Kribi was brought to the head of PAK whose registered capital amounts to 207, 270 billion CFA francs.
