The Joint Multinational Force (JMF) just inflicted a heavy loss to the Boko Haram sect. According to sources of the JMF, 27 fighters of the sect have been eliminated during the night of August 16 to 17, 2016 in the village of Grea, near Kolofata in the Far North.
“The Boko Haram fighters who convoyed stolen herds of cattle to Nigeria were ambushed by the JMF” informs our source. “27 fighters were eliminated and 10 others arrested,” says the source of the JMF. This operation, which took place with “success” has allowed the elements of the JMF to “recover some weapons and ammunition that were held by terrorists.”
In recent months, members of Boko Haram are exercised daily in the theft of cattle. “A day does not go by without a cattle theft recorded in the border villages of Nigeria,” notes a source of services of the Governor of the Far North. “They sell cattle stolen to feed and fund their activities,” concluded the source.
