Encouraged and supported by Samuel Eto’o Fils, former captain of the Indomitable Lions, David Eto’o is currently in Turkey. There he will undergo recruitment tests in three or four Turkish clubs.

If our source close to the Eto’o family refuses to reveal the names of the clubs, it nevertheless reveals that Samuel Eto’o Fils has facilitated the arrival of his younger brother in Turkey. While waiting to see whether these tests will be successful, we must recognize that David Eto’o who is currently in Turkey is no longer the same who returned to back in Cameroon eight months ago.

Away from the playground for about two years because of injuries, David Eto’o left Europe to come to Cameroon in order to revive his football career. He joined in January 2016 Union sportive of Douala, the mythical club of the national championship Ligue 1 and vice champion of Cameroon.

I chose Union sportive Douala Union to restart because currently this is the best team of Cameroon. It develops a beautiful game and everyone talks about it. I’m not yet at the level of the players that I have found. I still need to work hard. I was injured at one point, after I came back, but I did not have my head in football, I wanted to do something else. I’ve realized that what I do best is play football. That’s why I decided to resume training.

Throughout the training sessions and matches, David Eto’o regained his best form and is back performing. The young attacking midfielder of 29-year opened his goal counter with two goals against Cosmos FC Mbam on May 4, 2016 and in his last match with Union Sportive Douala, Sunday, August 7, 2016, he made ab assist that allowed the Nassaras to impose themselves one goal to zero against Botafogo.

Before his long period of injury, David Eto’o played unsuccessfully in several professional clubs in Europe, like Sedan in France or Majorca in Spain.
