The volleyball players have lost once again. This time against Argentina (3-2). The good news is that they have managed to win two sets.

After winning the first set (25-19), they failed to win in the second (19-25) before winning the 3rd set (28-26). It is here that the Argentine experience came into play. In the score, the Argentine managed to win (21-25) and (13-25). Another defeat again, but a good performance for Cameroon (28th worldwide) against Argentina (World 12th).

As for DieudonnĂ© Wilfried Seyi, the boxer won’t go further than the 1/8th finals. The Cameroonian boxer (-75kg) was beaten on the night of Friday, August 12 by the Egyptian Hussein Bakr Abdin Hossan. The judges decided unanimously to award the victory to the Egyptian after a physically very intense match where tactics prevailed. A decision challenged by some of the Cameroonian clan.

The Cameroonian usually agile, struggled to develop his boxing against a more experienced opponent. The adventure stops there for one of the greatest hopes of medals for Team Cameroon. The disappointment of the members of the Cameroonian delegation was palpable on the faces through an amateur video posted on Facebook.

He wanted to emulate his illustrious elders (late JOSEPH BESSALA, silver medalist in 1968 and Martin Ndongo Ebanga, bronze medalist in 1984). For now, aged 18, and a student of lower sixth in mechanics in an institution of Yaounde, he has his whole career ahead of him.
