The procedure is accelerating at the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne in Switzerland, in the case Etoile Filante de Garoua against the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT).

After determining on July 19, 2016 in favor of Etoile Filante de Garoua, represented by Abdouraman Hamadou, on the dispute over the appointment of a sole arbitrator, the president of the arbitral appeal to CAS has appointed the French Bernard Foucher to make the final decision in the case Etoile Filante de Garoua against FECAFOOT. It remains to determine the date on which he will deliver his verdict.

“We are not at the stage where we must speculate if Tombi A Roko is president of FECAFOOT or not. His election was invalidated. This means that the position of President of FECAFOOT is vacant. It is now up to the CAS to say who will lead the Federation pending the organization of a new election. It is obvious to us that the board elected in 2009 will return to business with the First Vice President John Begheni Ndeh as interim president, seeing the impeachment of President Mohammed Iya. ” Said an anti Tombi who firmly believes Abdouraman will succeed.

Our interlocutor also said documents with names and positions of members of the executive from the 2009 elections in FECAFOOT were sent today to the newly appointed single judge. 71-year old, Bernard Foucher, State Doctor of Law, State Councillor is a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of Limoges. Moreover, he is Adjudicator at the French National Olympic and Sports Committee.
