The elements of the Public Security Office of the 2nd district of Douala whose offices are in New Bell, a tough neighborhood of Douala, are currently looking at whether William Andem, former goalkeeper of the Indomitable Lions, has a license to have firearms, and how he was able to get the gun with which he threatened to kill an individual on Thursday, July 14, 2016.

Indeed, according to our sources, William Andem had a big quarrel with a close relative in the evening of yesterday in New Bell. The altercation escalated to the point where the former player of Union sportive de Douala took out a gun. He threatened to shoot his rival. Alerted, the police quickly intervened.

William Andem was arrested and detained for several hours at the Police Office of the 2nd district. At the time of his interrogation, he would have presented to the Police certified photocopy of a firearms permit. The famous goalkeeper of the late 90s was released, but was asked to remain at the disposal of law enforcement.
