A political opposition party has just demanded the immediate withdrawal of the law amending the Criminal Code, under consideration in parliament.
The Cameroon People’s Party (CPP), demands the immediate withdrawal of the bill amending the Criminal Penal Code review in parliament.
The party led by Kah Wallah offers the government to set up an ad hoc committee, composed of various categories of stakeholders: political parties, civil society organizations, legal practitioners (lawyers, judges, police officers, …), experts on criminal law matters … for the development of a draft law which will then be introduced to the national assembly as a bill.
The opposition party, criticized the government’s unilateral preparation of the bill amending the Criminal Penal Code review in parliament.

Before the CPP, the Cameroon Bar Association has demanded the withdrawal of the penal code under consideration in parliament.
