Cameroon – Anne Marie Nzie: Scammers taking opportunity of celebrity’s death to make money!

After her death on May 24, 2016, the funeral program of the diva of Cameroonian music, Anne Marie Nzié is still not yet out. Only that cybercriminals have chosen to make money from it.

Indeed, complaints registered within the family have reported that individuals claiming to be family members are currently crisscrossing the country to meet personalities asking for their financial contribution to the funeral of Anne Marie Nzié.

Angrily, the family and the organizing committee of the funeral implemented have issued a statement to condemn this attitude.

The statement read on the airwaves of National Station of CRTV radio during the 5:00 PM news last Monday states that “since the death of Anne Marie Nzié, the golden voice of the Cameroonian music, individuals pretending to be members of the family or the funeral organizing committee roam the cities and homes demanding money from various personalities of the Republic. The family and the Organizing Committee brought to the attention of the national community that nobody has been appointed for this purpose.

Anne Marie Nzié died on May 24, 2016 at the Yaounde Central Hospital at the age of 83.
