News reports have revealed that the late Prince has been honoured by Jehovah’s Witnesses, celebrating his time as a seemingly dedicated member.
The music icon had reportedly been honoured for his faith, yesterday, May 15, 2016 in a private ceremony at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Minnesota which he reportedly frequented.
New York Daily reports that Prince had attended Sunday services regularly at the Kingdom hall and had been known simply as, “Brother Nelson.”
One of the approximately 450 attendees at the ceremony had this to say of the late singer:
“It was a beautiful service, a tribute to Prince.
“They talked about his faith, how he became a Jehovah’s Witness in 2003, and his actions after that were to glorify God in words and deeds.
“He was also known for going door-to-door around the area, looking to share the faith with unsuspecting residents.”
The reports reveal that the program for the service had included a quote from Prince’s song, “Beautiful, Loved and Blessed,” on the back.
It had read, “If I were to ever write down my life story, I could truly say with all the fame and glory, I was just a piece of clay in need of the potter’s hand.”
Who knew Prince had been a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness? Then again, that’s one of the least surprising things that has been revealed since the singer had passed on.
