Nine million CFA Francs are missing from the post-AFCON prize pool of Adolphe Teikeu. In the aftermath of the coronation of the Indomitable Lions, the presidency of the republic had decided to grant a special bonus of nine million to each hero of the Gabonese expedition. All (or almost all) of them have won the prize, except for the Cameroonian of FC Sochaux. We gathered his misadventure below!
Having lost the continental title for many years, Cameroon unexpectedly returned to the top of continental football by winning the AFCON 2017. A special bonus decided by the presidency of the republic was then granted to each hero of the Gabonese expedition. The Ministry of Finance through its intermediary has the order to disburse in the short time. All (or almost all) of them have received this award, except for the Cameroonian international of FC Sochaux who, in agreement with the bailiff, decided to leave a power of attorney.
After several raises, Teikeu hasn’t been paid. He and his family are juggled like a ping pong ball. Something that discouraged the Indomitable Lion who decided to postpone the game for later. Meanwhile, the manager of the MINFI promised to erase the slate during the course of Brussels. A promise again broken that strongly irritated Teikeu and forced him to take the case to the MINSEP.
The mini tsunami provoked by Hugo Broos in a press conference after Guinea-Cameroon (2-1) speed things up since the Cameroonian international is asked to mandate someone to take possession of his special bonus.
