The intercity bus sector in Cameroon welcomed a new operator with the launch on January 25, 2017 of the activities of Express United, a company that serves the two main cities of the country with a total of 26 daily departures between Yaounde and Douala.

In addition to the toilets and catering on board, the new agency, which offers only the VIP service, has the particularity of making available to the travelers a wifi connection in each of the eight buses that make up its current fleet.

The arrival of this operator occurs in a context marked by the suspension of the activities of the Cameroon Railways (Camrail) fast train linking the two capitals of the country daily, which was at the center of the railway disaster occurred on 21 October 2016 in the locality of Eséka.

The absence of the railway operator has led to a strong demand from travel agencies offering VIP service in recent months, causing even one of them to increase the tariff by about 15%.
