The customer base of Nexttel, a telecommunications company controlled by the Vietnamese group Viettel, now counts 3 million subscribers, we learned from the website of the operator, who was the first to be awarded a telecoms license with the Licensing of 3G technology in Cameroon.

In 2017, this operator, which launched its activities in Cameroon in September 2014, should be able to attract more customers, as it plans to position itself also in the 4G segment, which it announced on an experimental basis in the beginning of this year 2017.

As a reminder, through Nexttel, Cameroon became the first African market of Vietnamese group Viettel in the first quarter of 2016, with global revenues of 21 billion CFA francs (35.9 million US dollars), officially announced the group last October.
