The Cameroonian Minister of Livestock, Dr Taïga, has just revealed during the feast of livestock in Ngaoundéré, in the northern part of the country, that the industrial slaughterhouse under construction in this locality will be put into operation in the first quarter 2017.
This infrastructure is the result of the three-year 2015-2017 emergency plan for the reduction of poverty and the acceleration of growth, decided by the Cameroonian head of state Paul Biya.
“Adamawa has a cattle population estimated at more than two million head. The raw material is available. Similarly, Adamawa is at the crossroads of the northern and southern part of Cameroon, “said Dr Taïga, to justify the choice of the city of Ngaoundéré for the installation of this slaughterhouse.
