Emmanuel de Tailly, who before this appointment was the Regional Director for the Indian Ocean of the Castel group and Deputy CEO of the Star Breweries in Madagascar, will formally take over the head of the leading brewery company in Cameroon in January 2017, officially. The new DG of the Breweries of Cameroon has 12 years of experience in the Castel group. He has held the positions of General Manager of the Breweries of Chad, Togo and the DRC.
Emmanuel de Tailly comes to the head of a company that officially controlled 78% of the beer market in Cameroon in 2015 (against 14.4% for Guinness and 7.2% for UCB), with 510.43 million liters Sold, down 5.7% from the previous year.
At the same time, sales volumes in Guinness Cameroon increased by 12% to 94.3 million liters; Compared to sales growth of 8.6% for UCB over the same period.
