Paul Biya, the President has signed a decree on the name change and reorganization of the National School of Posts and Telecommunications (ENSPT), which becomes “National School of Posts, Telecommunications and technologies of information and communication “(Sup’Ptic).
The Decree of the President of the Republic, comes within the framework of the said school rebuilding program initiated some years ago. The major innovations of this reform include the introduction of ICT in the institutional missions of the School, and the creation of a scientific council that was once assured by Supcom Tunis.
Thus, the decree devotes an extension and intensification of the missions of the former ENSPT who must ensure, in addition to initial training, ongoing training, and applied research of Posts, Telecommunications and ICT.
Moreover, Sup’Ptic missions are those of the regulation of postal and electronic communications, technical support to governments and technology watch for the updating of training courses. Like other higher institutions, Sup’Ptic will offer a degree in education, masters and PhD.
