Cameroon will host from 8 to 9 February 2017 the first African Salon of virtual reality. This is the main information that emerged from an exchange through videoconferencing on November 3, 2016 between the Cameroonian Minister of Youth and Civic Education Mounouna Foutsou and the Director General of Laval Virtual in France, Laurent Chretien. According to Minister Mounouna Foutsou who agreed in the organization of this event called “Laval Virtual Africa,” this is an opportunity for Cameroonian youth to explore the opportunities that Virtual reality offers today .
“This show will be an opportunity to show that Cameroon is engaged in the promotion of ICT among youth,” said the Minister of Youth and Civic Education. Same story from Laurent Chretien who sees in this event “an opportunity to inspire young people whether they are students or traders, so they begin to explore the benefits of virtual reality. It also envisages training for young Cameroonians in our structures in France. Training that can lead to recruitment. “
