Attackers have taken the life of a trader and a driver. Moreover, the body of a third victim was found hanging on a tree in Central African territory.
According to observers, cross-border crime is reaching worrying proportions in the Kadey division, at the border with the Central African Republic (CAR). In its edition of November 3, 2016, the daily Mutations reports that last weekend, “an attack by suspected assailants of CAR origin resulted in the death of two Cameroonians.”
The identified victims are a trader described as a collector of mining products by the name of Mohamadou Shehu and his driver Leonard Ngoundé 30 year old. On 30 October they died between the locality of GBEKE Chantier and the Gbitti locality of the KETTE subdivision which holds every Sunday a periodic market. “They fought for their lives, with silver, gold and diamonds in their possession, but they were killed by assailants who also snatched all these assets,” said a security source. Information also confirm by administrative and municipal sources in the Kadey division.
“Reporting the news yesterday, the regional station of CRTV-East says that the body of the businessman, Shehu Mohamadou known by the nickname” Aladji Moontal “was buried just after the attack as is the Muslim tradition while that his driver was deposited at the morgue of Batouri, capital of Kadey division pending the funeral program, “writes Mutations.
But if we stick to the information disseminated by CRTV-East, the SDO of the Kadey reassured people about the fact that the police are in pursuit of the attackers.
