The officially curtain drops tomorrow Sunday, October 30 on the activities of the sports season 2016. An exceptional moment of communion between the President of the Republic Paul Biya and amateur sports people.
The event will take place at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Omnisports Stadium. A stadium reopened to the public, after a year of closure due to renovation for the Women AFCON (scheduled from 19 November to 3 December).
About forty thousand spectators were invited to the ceremony marking the end of the sports season 2016. Sports Minister decided that the entrance to the stadium will be free. But one will have to present an invitation card to get access. The teams Bamboutos Mbouda and Apejes Mfou who will contest the final match were given to their supporters twenty thousand invitation cards.
There won’t only be the football on the menu. The official program released by the Presidency of the Republic that controls the organization of the ceremony because of the presence of the Head of State, brings up as among other major joints, military honors, the parade of national sports federations, the cultural parade and the awards to clubs and athletes who have distinguished themselves this season.
