The sad news is not yet official. But sources close to the Governor’s family say that he died in the morning of Monday, October 24, 2016 in France of an illness.
Seriously ill for several months, Joseph Otto Wilson was evacuated to a hospital in the hexagon, on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016. Born in Douala 52 years ago, Joseph Otto Wilson had taken command at the head of the Region on June 20, 2014, from the Northern Region. Senior civil servant, he is a product of the National School of Administration and Magistracy (ENAM).
“Right out of school, he served in turn as second deputy SDO of Sangmélima, DO of Boyo, inspector of MINATD before his promotion as the North Regional Governor” stated René Emmanuel Sadi, the Minister of territorial Administration during the installation of the now deceased Otto Joseph Wilson.
