Some days ago, the national airline of Cameroon stated the desire to make the reduction of its workforce. Since then employees are wondering about their fate.
Although no group of employees discussing here and there is observed at Camair-Co, the concern of staff about downsizing is still noticeable. It is therefore understandable that employees of all categories are now watching.
In its edition of October 5, 2016, the Daily Emergence which relays this information, states that “the dismissal in question even challenges the executives of the company. Each employee fears the worst, especially as the decision comes from the highest officials, including the PBD and the MD of the Company “. And, at present, it is no longer possible to use any godfather for help.
However, despite what is on the horizon, the Emergence Daily reports that in Camair-Co, everyone is trying somehow to do his job. The company’s employees are either meeting or busy with their professional obligations. Example cited by the newspaper: the personnel in charge of the successful first flight Douala-Bafoussam scheduled for 14 October. This flight will be billed to 30 000FCFA. According to information made public by the company, travel will be performed on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. During these three days chosen, the General Directorate expects to have two flights.
To return to the future dismissals, it must be said that these are measures in place to enable the recovery of Camair-Co. These measures are from the 25th extraordinary session of the Board chaired by Mefiro Oumarou, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Transport and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, and Ernest Dikoum the MD.
